RUN.

When I was nine, I wanted to be 20. I’m the girl that is always thinking years ahead of today. With the nudging of my friends, I’ve tried to slow down… “Enjoy the here and now” … and to some extent I have. But I don’t think I’ll ever stop planning completely. It’s not my style. So I’ll run, and keep running, to the experiences I haven’t yet had. I’ll keep running to the person I want to be, and to the goals I’ve set up for my life. I will keep running after God’s heart and will, because without it, I am nothing. But I will never run so fast that the most precious moments get lost in the blur of my lens.

Grow.

I transfered five times before graduating from Newhouse. I’ve visited more than 29 countries and my hair has been every color possible. It’s common to dread change, but when you’re thrust into it time and again, you begin to not only accept it… but almost crave it. I love the in-between: the moments when I’m lost in translation, or can’t forecast the outcome of a decision. Through this passion for change, I’ve grown to find beauty in the ugliest of situations.

Love.

The relationships in this life are the only entities that will follow me to the next. Therefore, it’s my responsibility to cultivate fruitful, meaningful, and lasting connections with the amazing faces put in my path. It's through the love I've been shown, and through my own interest in the cultures and lives of others that I have gotten to where I am today. There's no doubt it will only get better!
